The AlphaRet Peel Solution 50 is a higher-strength peel. It is a chemical peel that is developed to reduce moderate sun damage, wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, blemishes and scarring. If this is your first time receiving a Skinbetter Science Peel, you are required to start with the Peel 30 system to ensure your skin can tolerate a higher percentage.

Note that this product contains alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) that can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. As a result, you are particularly at risk of sunburn. Tho there is not any major downtime with this peel, it is advised to use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure for at least a week after treatment. The product does contain retinoids in a topical form. To ensure no adverse reactions occur, it is advised to prep the skin with AHA’s and similar ingredients at home one month prior to receiving a peel. This will also assist to enhance and maintain your results.

If you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant, contact your physician prior to booking as a medical clearance will be needed.

There is no downtime with the Skinbetter Peel although we recommend avoiding direct sunlight for 24 hours and wearing SPF daily. Limiting sun exposure to one week post peel will minimize any possible adverse reaction from occuring.

Results are typically seen after just one treatment. For optimal results we recommend 3 peels spaced one month apart with the use of Skinbetter homecare. Results may vary.

This peel usually only causes mild burning or tingling sensations.
